Arranging a bedroom isn’t as easy as you may think. Often people encounter problems which they cannot solve and end up arranging and decorating their bedroom’s in a sloppy manner. Fortunately for you, you will be able to avoid this unpleasant scenario as we will present to you the solutions for the most common bedroom designs conundrums.
Problem 1: The room is too small, thus there isn’t enough space for a headboard
The headboard is more of a decorative feature, than a practical one. So, instead of bumping your head against the wall, use the wall to create a headboard. Or put in other words, paint the wall behind your bed in a manner that will mimic a headboard. Once you have painted the wall, use the services of a rubbish removal company to clear the accumulated garbage.
Problem 2: There is no space for a wardrobe
This is an unpleasant issue, that doesn’t have the perfect solution. You can either display your favorite, season appropriate clothes on a rolling rack and store your out-of-season clothes in suitcases under your bed or use our ceiling’s perimeter to mount open shelves and use them to properly organise your clothes.
Problem 3: The room is badly illuminated due to a small window
Solve this problem by hanging a large mirror, opposite the window. The mirror will not only reflect the light and therefore enhance the illumination of the room, but it will also create the illusion that the room is much bigger.
Problem 4: The bedside tables cannot fit into the room
Once again use the wall to solve your bedroom design problem. Simply flank your bed with two floating shelves. This way, your night tables won’t require any floor space and will give to your room a more sophisticated and minimalistic look. The only downside of this approach is that you will most likely generate some amount of builder’s waste, which you will have to clean by using rubbish removal services.
Problem 5: The bedside tables are shorter than the bed
Simply stock several books on the tables and create the illusion that they are as tall as your bed. Another way to create the illusion is to place tall night lamps on each table. The lamps will surpass the height of your bed and will attract people’s attention.
Problem 6: The windows are too small to hang curtains
While drapes and curtains are classy, they aren’t the only window treatment options. For instance you can opt to place blinds. This way you will have window cover that will provide you the privacy that you are looking for. Another advantage of having blinds is that they are much easier to maintain in properly condition than curtains and drapery.
Problem 7: Most of the carpet is hidden under the bed
Instead of going with large carpet, go with a small one and place it in front on your bed. The small carpet will instantly become the focal feature of your bedroom and will compliment in full your bed.
