Central London

The part of London with the highest number of Landmarks and historical sites. This is the face of the entire city and nation.

West London

The western sub-region of London is probably most notable with sports. This is the home of both Wembley stadium and a number of world famous sports clubs.

East London

It wasn't until the industrial revolution and the construction of the railways that a lot of what is today's East London started emerging and urbanising.

North London

In broader terms North London includes all parts of Greater London north of the Thames River, however the London plans puts just three areas into this sub-region.

South London

It is common for people to refer to all districts south of the Thames as "South London", however the London plan desines the sub-region as consisting of six boroughs.
